The Global Church Network Summit in Oceania, held in Fiji, brought together leaders from 22 nations across this massive region. It was a historic gathering with a unifying theme—mobilizing the church to reach and transform communities. For Haven of Hope International Orphan Care Training Institute (OCTI), this was a powerful opportunity to expand the vision of equipping caregivers and leaders who serve the most vulnerable.
Equipping Leaders Through Training
At the summit, OCTI was honored to lead a breakout session where regional pastors, directors, and ministry leaders engaged with our trauma-informed caregiving model. The hunger for practical training was evident, and doors began opening immediately for expanded partnerships across Oceania.
Building Government Partnerships
One of the most encouraging outcomes was connecting with government officials who oversee newly established offices for children and families. These leaders expressed a deep need for proven training resources and requested our curriculum to equip their teams in creating safer, healthier environments for children. This marks a strategic step toward national-level impact.

Reaching Vulnerable Youth on the Ground
Beyond the summit, our team had the privilege of visiting an orphanage as well as a rescue center for displaced youth—children forced from their villages and struggling for safety and stability. These visits were reminders of why this work matters: behind every statistic is a child longing for healing, hope, and a future.
Expanding Hope Across Nations
The Fiji Summit reinforced that the call to equip caregivers is not confined to one continent. With doors now opening across Oceania, OCTI remains committed to raising up leaders and caregivers who can bring transformation to children across islands and nations. Together—with the church, government partners, and community leaders—we are building a global movement of hope for the Nation of Orphans.
