From the Desk of Yazmin Ruth
Refugio de Vida opened its doors in 2023, after a decade of discipling and feeding orphaned children in the community by Pastora Lilly San Marti Cardenas and her family. The home is an all-girls home.
Yazmin serves as Refugio de Vida’s Communications Manager. With a degree in Communication Sciences, she has been part of the home for nearly three years—an experience that has deeply strengthened her vocation for service. In her role, she is responsible for bringing visibility to the work carried out both inside and beyond the shelter, creating compelling content—photographs, videos, and stories—that reflects the real and lasting impact on the lives of those who need it most.
Yazmin is also responsible for building and nurturing relationships with potential donors—engaging individuals and organizations interested in supporting the home, fostering a culture of solidarity and social commitment. She is an empathetic, creative, and deeply committed professional who sees communication as a powerful tool to inspire, connect, and drive meaningful change. She believes strongly in the value of every story and the importance of giving a voice to those who need it most, approaching her work each day with passion and purpose.
