Photography and Videography Tips
We want to ensure that the pictures and videos we showcase on all Haven of Hope International platforms are of the highest quality.
PLEASE DO:
- DO take clear pictures with the highest resolution possible
- DO take pictures with the best possible lighting (faces should be facing towards the sun, not against it)
- DO take a variety of pictures so content doesn’t seem repetitive
- DO take close-ups, wide shots, and medium shots
- Record videos horizontally and try to stand still as you record. This will allow the viewer to focus on the movement of the activity.
PLEASE DON'T:
- DON’T take pictures in dark places unless you’re using flash
- DON’T Submit two similar pictures; pick the BEST one
- Don’t Take pictures under the cover if the background is bright. Instead, step out from covering into the light for an optimal picture.
- Don’t use Zoom when taking photos such as headshots. Zooming prevents us from editing the photo with clarity.
