HOHI’s Rescue programs help homes create safe living conditions, provide food and water, and medical and dental care.
- Refugio de Esperanza, Bolivia: Groundbreaking for the Boy’s Home and Vocational Building (50% funded by Rhonda Jarvis Group) will take place in October; Emma’s Echo, the Internship Addition has been 50% funded in honor of Emma Bullock; dental care continues as the government does not provide this much needed service.
- JEHO Safe Home, Kenya: Renovations focused on creating a safe and clean-living environment were undertaken–plumbing necessary to bring running water for showers, sinks and toilets; a solar water heater to provide (for the first time) warm water for showers; a water filtration system to provide clean water for drinking, cooking and bathing. Renovations were funded as a result of a Legacy of Hope dinner.
- Refuge of Life, Peru: We continue to provide food for families of the church and vitamin support for the children; work on construction of three small family home buildings, each to house 6-8 children and a “mom and dad” couple, was restarted.
- Mantonyok Children’s Home: We continue to provide much needed food to ensure the children have a nutritious diet.
